Recruitment is ongoing. Please consider being a part of the next leadership series.
Healthcare providers are finding that further development of their leadership competencies positively impacts their effectiveness in the boardroom and clinic office. More providers are moving into executive roles and leading healthcare systems as well as managing other providers and clinical staff. Montana healthcare providers are now expected to step beyond the care of patients to solution building and policy development.
The MMA partnered with FutureSync, International (specialists in leadership development and strategic planning) to create a leadership training program for Montana providers that also highlights healthcare issues facing Montana. The curriculum content was built by an advisory council of physicians ensuring the relevancy to Montana providers.
The program consists of six sessions that focus on developing core leadership skills in a powerful and personal way. These topics include strategic thinking, financial stewardship, relationship management and advanced critical thinking skills. The sessions are designed to engage and unite participants. Providers will learn practical and action-oriented skills to effectively lead in their practice or healthcare organization.
The training is limited to 25 health care professionals, and applications must be turned in by June 30, 2019. The MMA invites applications from physicians, physician assistants, advanced nurse practitioners, and dentists.
